Not because ASP.NET is better than PHP but because .NET web development is a profession while PHP is only a skill. In the last few days I have been visiting new websites that use Flash technology. I Have flash installed but have been tortured by notices to update the flash version. Suddenly to me flash is not so appealing anymore. I never had to do these upgrades before.

My trustworthy tyan thunder based development server has been with me a long time. I have always run Windows on it with a WAMP stack but over the weekend I decided to go with one of the Linux distros and try to get MONO to work. Sadly I was thrown back into 1997 for my efforts.
