Well, one analyst believes so. Those involved with the Web 2.0 industry are in trouble, according to Oliver Young, a Forrester Research analyst. He believes that the supply of Web 2.0 service applications is becoming too great, and that prices will decline as a result. As if that didn't sound bad enough, pricing is one of the few aspects left to compete with.

Zoho Beats Google, Offers Offline Email Support

Zoho, a Web-hosted Microsoft Office and Google competitor, has announced offline support for their Zoho Mail product. Zoho Mail joins Zoho Writer -- the company's word processing product -- in using (ironically enough) Google Gears for offline support and access. By comparison, Google has yet to implement any type of offline access to their Web-hosted email product, Gmail. Zoho, in choosing to utilize Google's own offline-enabling engine, beat the search giant to the punch in an effort to remain competitive in the space.

Yahoo Takes on Google with Sexy Web Analytics

Yahoo!, the struggling Internet giant, has managed to complete its latest product: Yahoo! Web Analytics. While the name is uninspiring, the product actually looks like it has some potential. If anything, it has a sexy look and feel to it. With this being a "controlled access launch," not everyone interested in trying the new product will be able to do so. Hence, Google Analytics doesn't have to worry. At least not yet.

Retailers Turn to Dynamic Content Management
